SpeedLine systemizes labor planning for pizzerias

LYNDEN, Wash. — An innovative labor planning system from pizza POS maker SpeedLine helps restaurant operators control labor costs proactively.

According to a news release, the system, powered by SpeedLine sales forecast, suggests ideal labor targets for scheduling. With the new tools, corporate offices can set up and distribute labor goals to restaurant locations. Labor targets integrate with SpeedLine's scheduling system, giving managers the tools to staff for optimal efficiency and profit.

Since labor code restrictions for minor employees vary from state to state and from school year to summer vacation, SpeedLine's new manager alerts make it easy to plan schedules that meet labor code requirements.

A convenient weekly scheduler extends SpeedLine's skill-based scheduling system. Flexible sorting, quick text entry and links to employee jobs and days off make it easy to build a full week's schedule in minutes. SpeedLine schedules also integrate with the time clock, providing tight control over employee clock-in and clock-out times.

The company's newest 5.5 release also includes such new capabilities as detailed recipe breakdowns for food cost analysis, integrated makeline monitors and state-of-the-art QSR kitchen management software, powerful new enterprise tools for managing multiple locations, integrated customer satisfaction surveys and an extensive selection of new reports.
