HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- Three juveniles who clubbed a pizza delivery driver and stole his car on June 18 are expected to be charged with capital murder.

According to The Huntsville Times, the Papa John's driver, Barry Lynn Schrader, 57, died June 22 from massive head injuries received during the robbery, which occurred during a delivery run.

Police spokesman Wendell Johnson said Huntsville Police Lt. Rex Reynolds would seek capital murder charges against Billy Joe Hawkins, 16, Kenneth Gerald Knabenshue, 17, and Christa June Bott, 17.

Hawkins, Knabenshue and Bott have been held in the Madison County Jail since being arrested for robbery and attempted murder just hours after the incident was reported. All three are being held as adults, and a judge will determine if they will be tried as adults.

Police allege the trio attacked Schrader with a baseball bat when he arrived to deliver three pizzas. They allegedly took the pizzas, Schrader's cash and his 1986 Mazda. A few hours later, the car ran out of gas in Scottsboro, Ala., where police arrested them.
