Triton has released updated versions of software for both the VersaSafe and VersaLink smart safe, cash management solutions. Both updates will work in concert and are loaded with increased functionality, allowing operators to be more efficient when managing and obtaining information from their smart safe network.
Software version 2.7 for the VersaSafe provides more granular control of each deployed VersaSafe by allowing users to enter cassette-specific serial numbers. This allows for easier tracking and reporting of cassette totals. Further, the latest version of software allows users the ability to enter envelope-specific serial numbers for similarly tracking manual drops. Beyond the ability to serialize manual drops, users will now have the ability to disable the manual drop feature — meaning their VersaSafe will only accept validated and denominated currency.
Finally, and in an effort to decrease the amount of time consumed in balancing the VersaSafe, the VersaSafe can now be configured to automatically perform a Day Close at the same time a Pickup Close occurs. This will prevent users from having to segregate the deposits made on a specific day up to the point the Pickup Close was performed. This feature will not prevent an automatically scheduled Day Close from occurring.
In addition to the efficiencies created on the VersaSafe, VersaLink has been upgraded to make it even easier for managers to remotely control their fleet of VersaSafes. For starters, VersaLink has been upgraded to allow managers complete control over VersaSafe users. With the click of a mouse, users can be enabled/disabled, added and deleted. The upgrade also allows managers to reset user PINs.
Two additional enhancements for VersaLink users is the ability to update both VersaSafe and bill acceptor software remotely. This feature helps ensure the VersaSafe is always running the latest software, and it allows users to schedule the software update at a time that is most convenient for them and their business. Finally, VersaLink now supports the ability to remotely reset the VersaSafe, in an effort to resolve system errors that may have been encountered.
