MACON, Ga. — Two Atlanta men were indicted on July 13 for allegedly killing a pizza delivery driver who apparently stumbled upon an armed robbery while on the job.
According to The Associated Press, Lataj Tyrone Ross, 25, and Damian Darnell Henderson, 29, were charged with murder, kidnapping, aggravated assault, armed robbery and possession of a firearm in connection with the January death of driver Steven Bass, 25.
Authorities believe Bass was delivering pizzas when he stopped at a home where a robbery was underway. When Ross and Henderson ordered Bass to get inside the house, he pulled out a gun and fired five shots, hitting Ross four times. At least one of the men returned fire, striking Bass twice in the head.
