Pizza Patrón is bringing some spice this summer with the introduction of Pepperoni Mexicano, made with beef, pork, a proprietary blend of spices and a hint of jalapeño. According to a news release, the offering was developed exclusively for Pizza Patrón by Tyson Foods as a twist on the classic pepperoni pizza.
Customers will also have the option of ordering any recipe that contains regular pepperoni and replacing it with Pepperoni Mexicano for free — this includes the company's Favoritas del Patrón line of specialty pies. Additionally, guests can create custom pizzas using the premium Pepperoni Mexicano for the same price as regular pepperoni, while supplies last.
"Pepperoni pizzas have always been the No. 1 seller, and our new Pepperoni Mexicano keeps what customers love about traditional pepperoni and cranks the flavor up a few notches," Brand Director Andrew Gamm said in the release. "We continue to build on our commitment of bringing customers high-quality ingredients and unique, Mexican-inspired tastes for less money than any of our competitors."
