Uncle Maddio's has signed a deal with James Smethie to open units in the Denver area, including Colorado Springs and Fort Collins.

According to a news release, Smethie is a long-time Colorado resident and graduated from Colorado State.

"We researched other chains, but fell in love with the philosophy and mindset," he said. "Uncle Maddio's is unique because it allows customers to come in and get exactly what they want without spending too much time or money."

"We're looking forward to expanding into Colorado and are glad to have someone with deep roots in the community on board," added founder Matt Andrew. "Since 2009, we've perfected our service model and bring together the freshest ingredients that take pizza, salads and paninis to the next level right before our guests' eyes. We're proud that we've been the originator of fast casual pizza and are excited to offer this new, fresh experience to customers in Colorado."
