The 2009 International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York kicked off March 1 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. By Sunday afternoon, the aisles were teeming with attendees looking for the best deals on products and equipment.
Bel Gioioso was one of several cheese suppliers found on the show floor. Representatives from the company lured in attendees by passing out free samples of mozzarella cheese.
Attendees at the 2009 International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of NY check out to-go bags offered by Harrisburg, Pa.-based Commonwealth Packaging Co. The company was founded in 1959 by Jay Maisel in the basement of his home.
Dessert shooters and other sweet treats was a big draw at this year’s foodservice show. Exhibitor World of Chantilly Inc. displayed a variety of dessert menu items designed to pique attendee interest.
Fresh produce suppliers from around the New York region also were exhibiting at the 2009 International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York. Gargiulo Produce displayed an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables during the March 1-3 show.
In addition to cheese, baked goods and desserts, pork and beef products were on display during the three-day show.
