Casey’s General Store, based out of Iowa, is one of the largest convenience store chains in the country, with nearly 1,700 locations in 13 states. Founder Donald Lamberti leased a service station from his father in 1959, and by the late 1970s the company had grown to more than 110 stores. In 1984, Casey’s introduced made-from-scratch pizza into its stores. At the beginning of 2012, the company announced plans to expand pizza delivery from 25 to as many as 75 locations.
