California Pizza Kitchen is bringing back two fan-favorite pizzas and expanding its take-and-bake thin crust options, according to a press release.
CPK has reintroduced its Jamaican Jerk Chicken pizza and Santa Fe Chicken pizza. Originally introduced in 1987, the Santa Fe Chicken Pizza returns to the CPK menu for the first time in nearly 20 years.
The Santa Fe Chicken pizza features chicken breast marinated in lime and herbs, red onions and Monterey Jack topped with fresh cilantro, sour cream, smashed avocado and homemade roasted tomato salsa. The Jamaican Jerk Pizza has a sweet but spicy Caribbean sauce, authentic Jamaican spices, Nueske's applewood smoked bacon, red onions, bell peppers and scallions all served on CPK's thin crust.
"It's always been a point of pride for us at CPK to listen to our guests and guarantee customer satisfaction through new innovations and in this case, bringing back two popular menu items," Jim Hyatt, CPK CEO, said in the release. "Every so often we take polls on which pizzas our guests would like to see return and the Jamaican Jerk Chicken pizza and Santa Fe Chicken pizza are always the top two, so we are more than happy to relaunch these fan favorites."
After having just launched its Two Meal Deal, which allows guests to add a Take & Bake pizza for $8 ($10 in Hawaii) with the purchase of any entrée, CPK is also expanding its take-and-bake crust options to include its popular thin crust option. Previously, guests were able to purchase four pizzas in thin crust, including Sicilian, Tostada, Spicy Milano and Margherita, but they can now order any favorite take-and-bake pizza flavors on thin crust.
