5 pizzerias within 2 miles was too many, locals say

The Courier News: The villagers of Hampshire, Ill., may have a hearty appetite for pizza, but five parlors located within 2 miles of each other — and drawing on a customer base of only 5,000 people — may have equated to dough overload. The recent closure of Maria's Pizza is one obvious casualty of the pizzeria proliferation.
