The Edge Daily: Pizza Hut franchisee QSR Brands Bhd will spend about RM60 million (U.S. $15.8 million) over the next three years to open 76 new Pizza Hut outlets in Malaysia.
Managing director Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani said Pizza Hut has 124 units there already, but it wants to have 200 outlets three years from now.
"This year, we are targeting 20 outlets," he said. "We will spend RM750,000 (U.S. $197,000) per outlet ... ."
QSR operates another 29 Pizza Hut outlets in Singapore.
Johari expects Pizza Hut will see an 18 percent increase in sales this year.
