800 Degrees plants flag in Pasadena

September 23, 2014

800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizza will open its first Pasadena, California, location on Friday at 2 E. Colorado Ave. 800 Degrees was founded by Chef Anthony Carron.

"Pasadena has been on our radar from day one," Carron said in a news release. "It has such a great sense of community and we're very excited to be in such a gorgeous, historic venue."

The two-story, 5,000 square foot venue is located in a structure designed in 1929 by John C. Austin, who was also responsible for Griffith Observatory, Los Angeles City Hall and the Shrine Auditorium, the release said. The dining room is registered on the National Registry of Historic Places, and the 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizza remodel will restore many of the design details to their original form.

The location will have 65 seats along with a private basement dining room seating an additional 30 guests for private parties or overflow seating.

800 Degrees currently has two location in Las Vegas at the SLS and Monte Carlo resorts; and four in Southern California: Santa Monica, LAX International Airport, Westwood Village and the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana-certified Westwood To-Go annex.
