Acquisitions boost revenue at Australian Domino's

ALBION, Queensland — Comparable-store sales at Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd restaurants rose 3 percent for the company's 2006/2007 fiscal year ended July 1, compared with a 4.2 percent increase the previous year.
 
Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd. is the largest Domino's franchisee in the world. As of Aug. 23, the company operates 667 stores including 404 in Australia, 65 in New Zealand, 110 in France, 12 in Belgium and 76 in the Netherlands.
 
Revenue for the company increased 44 percent for the year to $519 million, largely due to the acquisition of 155 restaurants in Belgium, France and the Netherlands, 41 new openings in Europe, and 29 new openings in Australia and New Zealand.
 
The company earned net income of $9.1 million for the year, off 30 percent from $13 million the previous year.
