Afton appoints new chair to replace retiring Hunter

BURLINGTON, Ontario -- Afton Food Group Ltd. (TSX: AFF) announced that Richard Hunter will retire as its chairman of the board effective Oct. 31.

According to a release, Hunter has served as chairman since 1998, during which time Afton went public and acquired Robin's Foods Inc.

Afton vice-chairman of the board Hans Koehle, who has served as a director since 1994, has been appointed chairman. He is the chairman and a director of several private corporations, including Icynene Inc., Tribar Industries Inc. and Armak Resilient Floor Covering Corporation.
