Grocery store chain Aldi received the 2015 Product of the Year award in the Convenience Meal Category for its "liveGfree" Gluten Free Pizza recently introduced to its store shelves.
The pizza comes in cheese or pepperoni and is topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella and Romano cheese, and for the pepperoni version, uncured, nitrate-free pepperoni and spices on a rice crust free of wheat and soy. It retails around $4.99 for a 10 ounce.
Global research company TNS surveyed more than 40,000 consumers to assess consumer opinions on innovation, use, satisfaction and purchase intent of competing products.
