American Restaurant Holdings Inc. announced its acquisition of Fresca's Mexican Grill and JoJo's Pizza Kitchen. The acquisitions were completed via ARHI's wholly owned subsidiaries, Fresca's Acquisition Inc. and JoJo's Acquisition Inc., respectively, the company said.
Tom Ryder founded Fresca's Mexican Grill in 1991. There are currently eight store locations, five of which are in Orange County, California. JoJo's Pizza Kitchen opened 20 years ago and consists of three locations in Orange County and the Inland Empire, California.
"We are excited about the addition of these exciting brands to our growing fast casual portfolio. We look forward to opening follow-on corporate stores while also franchising the Fresca's brand at some point in the future. It is our feeling that both of these brands complement our previously announced acquisition of Muscle Maker Grill, and we plan to add healthy menu alternatives at each of our store locations," said Chief Executive Officer of American Restaurant Holdings Inc. Tim M. Betts in a statement.
