Amici Italian Café opens 12th restaurant

Amici Italian Café will open its second restaurant in Covington, Georgia, this month, marking the brand's 12th restaurant in the Atlanta area. Amici also has a unit in Easley, South Carolina, according to a press release.

"We are excited that Amici Italian Café will be among the first restaurants in the highly anticipated Covington Town Center," Chris Torino, principal at Amici Food Group, said in the release. "From its modern design and fun brewery our twelfth Georgia restaurant will be a destination that reflects the meaning of "amici" — friend. With our award-winning menu including made from scratch pizza family and friends will create memories together."

The restaurant's modern design includes a brewery.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for mid-December.

"Our objective in selecting the prospective tenants was to identify the "best in class" of each category. I think we have achieved our objective," Harry Kitchens, CEO of Foxhill Development, said in the release. "At build-out Covington Town Center will draw approximately 32,000 visits per day. Our project will be a point of destination for the region in providing hospitality, dining, shopping, and luxury living."

Amici Italian Café is also celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The brand was founded by Chris Torino and has 12 restaurants.
