Antico Pizza Napoletana, an Atlanta pizzeria, has launched Antico Casa, a line of premium frozen pizzas, in Costco stores across the Southeast. The move marks the first time Antico Pizza Napoletana products are available in-store, according to a press release.
The pizzas will be available across more than 80 Costco stores in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and North Carolina. The launch is 10 years in the making.
The debut features a Margherita two-pack, crafted with imported flour from Italy, organic tomatoes, Buffalo mozzarella, garlic, fresh basil, and extra virgin olive oil. Each pizza is handmade and can be ready to enjoy in eight minutes, bringing a true artisanal Neapolitan pizza experience right to your home.
"For too long, frozen pizza has meant compromising flavor and quality," Giovanni Di Palma, founder of Antico Pizza, said in the release. "As a maestro pizzaiolo, I spent years bringing everything we learned in Naples into a frozen pizza worthy of our ovens. When we quietly shared it during the pandemic, the reaction said it all, 'this isn't frozen pizza.' At first, it was only going to a small group of private clients, but the goal was always bigger: to make real Neapolitan pizza something anyone could pull from their freezer and enjoy in under 10 minutes. Seeing Antico Casa in Costco is a dream come true."
Following the Costco Southeast launch, the brand plans to expand Antico Casa's retail presence into additional premium retailers and roll out its most popular varieties in a frozen form.
Antico Pizza Napoletana was founded in 2009.
