Haaretz Israel: Pizza Meter, which is seeking bankruptcy protection from creditors, asked the Tel Aviv District Court on Feb. 8 to transfer management of the chain to the owners of the Aroma Cafe chain.
A court hearing on the fate of the 24-unit chain is scheduled for Feb. 9, when Judge Varda Alshech will decide whether to grant the chain bankruptcy protection. Alshech rejected the company's original request on Feb. 3.
Franchisees reached an agreement this week with Aroma owner Sahar Shefa, in which Shefa would manage the chain while examining the possibility of buying it.
