Aver's Gourmet Pizza cracks Kentucky market

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Aver's Gourmet Pizza, an award-winning delivery and carry-out concept based here, announced the opening of its first Kentucky unit near Louisville.

According to a news release, the four-unit company is a "gourmet to go" concept whose niche is high-end pan pizzas. Several of its signature pizzas have been finalists in national pizza contests.

Founded in 1998 by Brad Randall and Kris Kiser, Aver's has three units in Bloomington. The Louisville unit is the company's first franchise.
