Award on hold in Pizza Hut door case

The Madison Record: The Fifth District Appellate Court has dismissed an appeal by an Edwardsville, Ill., attorney seeking to overturn a judge's ruling vacating a default judgment leveled against a police officer. Amanda Verett sued Pizza Hut and police offer Clarence Jackson, claiming she was injured as she held open the door when she and Jackson exited the restaurant.
