Arizona-based Barro's Pizza is giving away $10,000 to a resident in the state as part of the 2022 Arizona Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway, according to a Tucson Foodie report.
The 40-year-old brand has handed out $95,000 to date for educational expenses. Submissions started in late September.
"Our community is such an important part of who we are as a company," Ken Barro, owner of Barro's Pizza, told the news outlet. "We are honored each year to partner with Dr. Pepper to give away $10,000 to a local student that may be struggling to pay for school or the expenses that come with it. We look forward to this campaign each year. It means a lot to be able to help a student achieve their educational goals."
The award is given to an Arizona resident 18 years or older selected at random from online and text-to-win entries submitted through Dec. 19. The money is to be used for educational expenses.
