Barro's Pizza to raise funds for food bank

Arizona-based Barro's Pizza will donate their entire day's profits on Dec. 5 to St. Mary's Food Bank, according to a press release, marking the brand's 12th year of its holiday hunger fight campaign, according to a press release.

Barro's Pizza raised more than $415,000 last year, making it St. Mary's top fundraiser for the year.

St. Mary's Food Bank is a nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger in Arizona. Barro's Pizza has raised $2.5 million, equivalent to 12.5 million meals for the organization.

"We are thrilled to continue our partnership with St. Mary's Food Bank," Bruce Barro, co-owner of Barro's Pizza, said in the press release. "We understand the importance of giving back and taking care of our neighbors. It's an honor to be able to contribute to such a worthy cause."

"We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from Barro's Pizza," Milt Liu, president and CEO of St. Mary's Food Bank, said in the release. "Their dedication is truly inspiring. The funds raised through this campaign will make a significant difference in the lives of countless individuals facing food insecurity."

Barro's Pizza operate more than 40 locations in Arizona.
