Bene Gourmet Pizza moving into Denver market

The Register Guard: Eugene, Ore.-based Bene Gourmet Pizza will enter the Denver market in March with the first of what is expected to become three outlets in the Mile High City.

There are three Bene outlets in Eugene, and the company considered other Oregon locations and the Seattle area before settling on Denver for its first venture outside Lane County.

"We are kind of a niche concept; we serve full-priced pizzas and salads," said Bene President and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Cohen. "There is only a certain demographic that is our true customer. Denver had the best combination of demographics and real estate options for us."

Bene offers 22 pizzas, eight of which are vegetarian, along with nine salads.
