Benny's, known for its oversized slices and pies, has opened a location in Virginia Beach, according to a Pilot Online Inside Business report. The pizzeria opened on Market Street in November.
The company was founded by Virginia Tech alumni Chris Brown and Zach Toth and has grown to 23 locations with customized décor for the stores.
"The goal for Benny's was to be a local pizza spot and not a cookie-cutter chain like the rest of them," Brown told the news channel.
Each restaurant is given a surname that reflects its community, like Benny Cavalloni's in Virginia Beach, which means "wave" or "breaker" in Italian.
