Blaze drizzles a little sweet heat on its Canadian store pies

Blaze Pizza has launched an LTO pizza topping, Hot Maple Drizzle, created exclusively for its Canadian restaurants, a news release said.

This latest menu innovation infuses Canadian maple syrup with a blend of chilis to give pies a bit of a kick.

"We're excited to introduce this new Hot Maple Drizzle to our already incredible lineup of signature ingredients at Blaze locations across Canada," Brad Kent, Blaze chief culinary officer, said in the release. "As the summer season approaches, we are literally turning up the heat by putting a uniquely Blaze spin on a Canadian staple — maple syrup — and giving our guests up north their newest craveworthy pizza topping."

Founded in 2011, Blaze Pizza is based in Los Angeles and has more than 340 restaurants across 41 states and six countries.
