Blaze Pizza said franchisees, Denny, Drew and Chase Wagstaff have taken over existing locations of the brand in Meridian, Eagle and Nampa, Idaho and plan to add a pair of stores in Treasure Valley/Boise region, according to a news release.
"When considering a development plan with Blaze, we got a better look at the leadership and support we'd receive — it's a strong investment opportunity we couldn't pass up," Denny Wagstaff said in the release. "We have a great feeling about this new journey and the potential we have to grow with the brand in untapped markets."
The Wagstaffs join Blaze Pizza with operational experience as franchisees of six Treasure Valley-area Costa Vida Restaurants, and Denny Wagstaff previously was an 80-location KFC franchisee. Chase and Drew Wagstaff are Denny's sons.
"Their team will play a critical role in establishing an even stronger local brand presence, and their operational expertise will surely benefit the entire Blaze Pizza system," Ed Yancey, Blaze vice president of franchise development said in the release.
Blaze Pizza is based in Pasadena, California, and has more than 300 locations nationally.
