Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza signed a multi-unit development deal to grow the brand's Texas presence, including seven new locations of the fast-growing chain in Dallas and Bell counties, as well as expansion into neighboring Louisiana, a news release said.
Restaurant owner-operators and brothers, Barrett and JC Fleming, joined with their family and its company president, Mike Toland, to lead the effort. In fact, the Flemings learned some of the business from their father, John Fleming's, early involvement in franchising with Subway in the mid 1980s.
"After growing up in the restaurant industry, we know an innovative concept when we see one," Barret Fleming said in the release. "The first time we stepped into a Blaze Pizza, we were blown away by the guest experience--from product customization to the price point. This investment is an ideal addition to our portfolio, and we're thrilled to grow with such a forward-thinking brand."
Currently the Fleming family also owns and operates 34 Louisiana Subway locations, along with a number of Zaxby's units and UPS stores.
"Barrett and JC are clearly hungry for growth, and we're thrilled to support their development plans for Dallas and Bell County," Blaze Pizza Chief Development Officer and President International Carolyne Canady said in the release. "We're confident they'll be top performers for years to come."
Blaze is now up to more than 330 restaurants into 41 states and five countries.
