Boston Pizza eyes major expansion in Ontario

Bloomberg.com: Boston Pizza plans to open about 75 restaurants over the next three years, mostly in Ontario, chief executive officer Mike Cordoba said.

The Richmond, British Columbia-based chain will build 25 restaurants in 2005, 15 of which will be in Canada's most populous province. A similar number is planned for 2006 and 2007.

Boston Pizza has about 195 total restaurants, with the majority located in Alberta and British Columbia. Another 27 are in Ontario. The fund also will open its first restaurants in Quebec, with two scheduled for this year, Cordoba said.
