Boston pizzeria takes tops in TripAdvisor America's best pizza ranking

The travel-prone customers of TripAdvisor, have been asked and have spoken on which pizza brands they hold nearest and dearest to their hearts and stomachs. The travel site said on its website that it analyzed reviews on the basis of both quality and quantity from the past year — giving some reviews more weight based on perceived quality of the views - to come up with the following top pizzerias in the U.S.  

Coming in at the top sloto was Boston's Regina Pizzeria in the city's North End for its brick-oven, thin-crust pies, including the so-called "signature slice," for reviewers, "The Giambotta," topped with pepperoni, Regina sausage, salami, mushrooms, peppers, onions, fresh basil and mozzarella cheese.

Here are the next nine in descending order of rank in TripAdvisor's list: 
2. Bleecker Street Pizza, New York City, and its "Nonna Maria," pizza with a thin Tuscan crust, Grande mozzarella, homemade marinara sauce, Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese and fresh basil.
3. Modern Apizza, New Haven, Connecticut, and its The Italian Bomb, with bacon, sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, onion, pepper and garlic on a mozzarella base with red or white sauce.
4. Home Slice Pizza, Austin, Texas, and its "Special Slice" of the Day, which changes daily as the name implies.
5. Moose's Tooth Pub and Pizzeria, Anchorage, Alaska, and its "Amazing Apricot," topped with blackened chicken, cream cheese, apricot sauce, red peppers, carrot threads, green onions, cilantro, mozzarella and provolone.
6. Juliana's Pizza, Brooklyn, New York, and its "Classic Margherita," with DOP San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella and basil.
7. Five Points Pizza in Nashville, Tennessee, and its Prosciutto & Basil pizza. 
8. Joey's House of Pizza, also in Nashville, Tennessee, and its Joey's Specialty Pie with meatballs, Italian sausage, chicken, spinach, artichokes, eggplant and fresh tomatoes.
9. Andolini's Pizzeria, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and its S.P.Q.R, made from ricotta, garlic, house-made Italian sausage and prosciutto.
10. Duetto Pizzaand Gelato in Key West, Florida with its "Meat Lovers" made with Italian sausage, pepperoni, ham, meatballs, Italian mozzarella and provolone cheese.

TripAdvisor also scored out the top 10 U.S. Pizza Cities, with the best place recommended for a slice in each. Those include:

2. Chicago, Illinois and Lou Malnati's Pizzeria
3. Las Vegas, Nevada and Pizza Rock
4. San Francisco, California and Tony's Pizza Napoletana
5. Orlando, Florida and Red Oven Pizza Bakery
6. Seattle, Washington and Serious Pie
7. Boston, Massachusetts and Regina Pizzeria
8. San Diego, California and Filippi's Pizza Grotto
9. Atlanta, Georgia and Antico Pizza Napoletana
10. Washington, D.C. and Pi Pizzeria
