Boston's Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar debuted a new menu last week focusing on improving kitchen efficiency and addressing menu gaps.

Casual dining brands have been particularly stressed by the restrictions imposed on in-restaurant dining by the pandemic, but Boston's said it's new menu focuses on things like appetizers that are particularly suited to patio and sports bar dining. Some of those additions include chili lime shrimp bowl, steak chopped salad and steak frites with truffle Parmesan fries, items incorporating cauliflower rice and desserts like Apple Crisp Flatbread and Monster Cookies to choose from.

The company said other items from the old menu that have been retained have new components that Boston's leadership said improves their taste and enhances kitchen performance. While other menu items aren't new, they are being revamped to improve taste and kitchen performance.

The company said it has also enhanced its sports bar experience as some professional play resumes. Additionally, customers who want to stay home and watch the action, the brand is giving customers $5 off their first online order at bostons.com.

"When renovating our menu, our main goal was to refine our guest experience," Boston's President Jeff Melnick said in the release. "By improving kitchen efficiency, adding new menu items, and filling menu gaps – we have created an ideal environment for guests to have an outstanding dining experience."

Boston's Pizza Restaurant and Sports Bar's U.S. operations are based in Dallas, and currently has 22 locations open with four more under construction across the country. The company's sister brand, Boston Pizza, has more than 400 locations throughout Canada.
