Boston's the Gourmet Pizza names MacDonald president

DALLAS — Boston Pizza Restaurants L.P. has appointed Doug MacDonald its new president.

 

MacDonald, who joined Boston Pizza International (BPI) in 1998 as director of purchasing, most recently served as executive vice president of Western Canada for BPI. He also held the position of vice president of foodservice for the company. Throughout his various roles at BPI, MacDonald has been involved in and led activities including franchise sales and real estate, construction and development, supplier negotiations, purchasing and product development and menu design and content.

 

In his new role, MacDonald will lead Boston's as the company continues its expansion throughout the United States and Mexico.

 

"This is a year of growth and development for Boston's the Gourmet Pizza," said MacDonald. "We are planning to open 20 new locations in the United States this year alone. The entire franchise is motivated, and it will be great to work with such a solid team as we continue to move into even more markets in the years to come."
