Brick Fire to open in Richmond, Virginia

Brick Fire, a pizzeria by Richmond, Virginia brand Charred owner Walied Sanie, will open in Richmond soon. The pizzeria plans to have pizza and pasta on the menu, according to a Richmond BizSense report.

The pizzeria is going into a restaurant location that has been closed for several years. Renovations for the space had cost around $300,000 and will include a new wood-fired oven for pizzas.

"It's a very unforgiving piece of equipment," Sanie told the news outlet. "You get a different product every time so it allows you to play around with it a little more. We wanted to lean into that.…It'll be in the main dining area and visible from any angle in the restaurant."

The restaurant will open by August for lunch and dinner.

Sanie also owns local restaurant Social 52 with partner James Baldwin.
