A Hawaiian plant-based bulk food provider, Vedgeco, is moving to the mainland with its products and launching an online store for restaurateurs, caterers and other bulk buyers on Aug. 1, according to a press release.

At Vedgeco.com, top plant-based brands will be featured with everything from plant-derived "dairy" and "bacon," to tempeh, drumsticks and sausages.

The company, based in Kailua, has been serving the Pacific Island state for the past year. Over that time, increasing demand prompted the company's founders to take products and services to the continental U.S.

To launch nationwide, Vedgeco will use strategically located shipping facilities on the East Coast and the West Coast, making it possible to ship orders to customers nationwide in two business days or less. Orders will be delivered frozen and packed with environmentally-friendly, foam-free insulation and dry ice.
