Calgary preps for weeklong pizza competitions

The creators of YYC Burger Week have announced a new Calgary, Alberta-wide YYC Pizza Week. From Sept. 26-Oct. 5, about 50 restaurants will participate in pizza competitions for the categories of thin crust, thick crust and "unique" entries, such as sushi pizzas and Mac 'N Cheese pizzas.

Chopped Canada and Top Chef Canada Season 4 contestant, Pierre Lamielle, designed a logo and line of T-shirts specifically for YYC Pizza Week.
