California Pizza Kitchen expands in California

California Pizza Kitchen has opened in Laguna Niguel, California, as part of the brand's multi-year growth plan, according to a press release.

The plan includes increasing its presence in core markets, expanding domestic and international franchising, growing the brand's licensing presence and driving profitable guest traffic through menu innovation, CPK Rewards and increased marketing.

"The opportunity to open a new restaurant in our own backyard is a great source of pride for our organization," Brad Gramlich, EVP and chief operating officer of CPK, said in the press release. "The residents of Orange County know CPK well and we know they will appreciate the location's open-air dining, large patio area, new bar menu and easy take-out experience. We look forward to serving our fresh and creative California-inspired cuisine to the Laguna Niguel community."

CPK operates more than 180 restaurants across 10 countries and U.S. territories.
