California Pizza Kitchen, fire foundation host nationwide fire victims fundraiser

December 13, 2018

California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) has joined the California Fire Foundation to host a nationwide fundraiser on Tuesday, Dec. 18 to support firefighters and communities impacted by the recent fires in Northern and Southern California.

Participating California Pizza Kitchen locations nationwide will donate 20 percent of participating guests' purchases at the chain nationwide to support the non-profit foundation that provides emotional and financial assistance to families of fallen firefighters, firefighters and the communities they protect, a news release said.

CPK guests can participate in the  fundraiser by telling their restaurant server they are dining to support the California Fire Foundation, or simply present a campaign flyer.

"More than 11,000 families devastated by the recent wildfires received direct, immediate assistance from firefighters through the Foundation's SAVE program, giving out more than $2.5M to victims of the recent fires," said Brian K. Rice, chair of the California Fire Foundation. "We're grateful for supporters like California Pizza Kitchen, whose generosity allows us to offer a hand up to those who have lost so much."

California Pizza Kitchen has more than 250 locations worldwide and the fundraiser option is available at all participating restaurants, except in Hawaii, Guam, the Grand Sierra Resort & Casino in Reno, the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, stadium, university, international or airport locations. The fundraiser is valid for dine-in, takeout, online, catering, curbside or delivery orders placed directly with CPK, but not through third-party delivery.
