A little more than a month after Playa Vista, California-based, California Pizza Kitchen, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, the brand has rolled out a Back-to-School Family Lunch Program available through mid-October. The initiative is targeted toward parents of school-age youngsters who need help with midday meals, a news release said.
Customers may order the Lunch Box via CPK.com, DoorDash, UberEats, or Postmates on weekdays, and each order includes an adult and child's entree for $20 or less.
The brand also has cut the price of dine-in or carryout lunches. Kids may eat for $3 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays with the purchase of an adult entree. Lastly, CPK is offering customers who dine in a take-and-bake pizza or curly mac 'n' cheese for $3 when purchasing an adult dinner.
"We understand firsthand how much folks are trying to juggle COVID-19-related distance work and school schedules right now," Ashley Ceraolo, senior vice president of marketing at the brand, said in the release. "As a service-minded company, we're always adapting and looking to find innovative ways to reach our guests at CPK, so we wanted to provide a few easy and affordable lunch options both kids and parents will get excited about, especially during such a hectic re-adjustment period."
CPK has more than 240 restaurants in 10 countries and U.S. territories.
