California Pizza Kitchen opens second India unit

California Pizza Kitchen Inc. has opened its second restaurant in India, operated by CPK franchise partner JSMGGC India Pvt. Ltd., a joint-venture between Mumbai-based JSM Corporation and Dubai-based Gourmet Gulf Company.

The new unit is located in High Street Phoenix in the Senapati Bapat Marg district, Mumbai’s largest entertainment destination. High Street Phoenix is home to about 500 retail brands, a variety of dining and nightlife options and commercial and residential complexes in more than 3.3 million square-feet of space.

The 4,000 square-foot restaurant seats approximately 190 people and will be open Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.; and Friday through Sunday from 12 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The open-exhibition kitchen layout in the restaurant offers guests a view of their meal preparations. The Mumbai menu will include a variety of items from the Tostada Chicken Pizza and Thai Crunch Salad to the Kung Pao Spaghetti and Avocado Egg Rolls.
