California Pizza Kitchen's newly reimagined menu is now available at its Wellington and Naples, Florida, locations. Both locations also feature the brand's updated restaurant design, featuring open kitchens that allow customers to watch chefs prep and toss pizzas.
Restaurant redesign
According to a news release, the decor uses sustainable materials such as reclaimed wood on walls, tables and doors, natural stone counter tops, an oak-wrapped bar and counters, LED lighting and an herb garden. Artwork featuring local landmarks give each restaurant its own distinct personality, and outdoor dining has been made available at many locations as well.
The pizza counter serves as a culinary theater, according to the company, where dough is proofed before being hand-tossed 3 feet into the air, topped and baked in the open hearth oven.
Menu upgrades
The new menu features seasonal items, such as the harvest kale salad and the Sunnyside Up bacon + potato pizza, and new entrees, such as the fire-grilled ribeye and hearth-roasted halibut. There are also new low-calorie, vegetarian and gluten-free offerings.
Additionally, CPK's Lunch Duos offer more than 80 made-to-order pairing combinations, and a new beverage menu features handcrafted cocktails.
The Wellington location is among the first 12 in the country to be redesigned and launch the new menu. Others in Florida include Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa Bay and Naples.
