CALGARY, Alberta — Despite a modest increase in sales, Canada's Pizza Delivery Corp., franchisee of 250 Domino's Pizza stores, posted a loss for the 13 weeks ended Sept. 25, 2005 (the company's second quarter of fiscal 2006).
According to a news release, system-wide sales were CAN $31.9 million (U.S. $26.8 million) versus CAN $30.8 million (U.S. $25.9 million) in the comparable period. Revenue, however, fell to CAN $3.48 million (U.S. $2.92 million) from CAN $3.57 million (U.S. $2.99 million). The group lost CAN $93,000 (U.S. $78,105) for the quarter.
For the first half of its fiscal year, the group has lost CAN $317,000 (U.S. $226,229).
