Toronto, Ontario, Canada-based Pizza Pizza is gearing up to tackle Super Bowl orders using the results of a survey the company conducted on the eating habits of Canadians during the game.
The survey results reported a majority of Canadians, 70 percent, will watch the game from home, while 16 percent will watch from a friend's house, with two out of five planning to order takeout, according to a company press release. The survey revealed that pizza is the most popular deliver choice for Canadians this year at 45 percent, followed by 18 percent who prefer chicken wings and 4 percent who prefer nachos, the company said.
The company is gearing up for the big game by doubling the number of order takers.
"Every year, we experience a very large rush of calls right before kick-off for the big game," said Pat Finelli, chief marketing officer for Pizza Pizza, in a statement. "Our customers order from Pizza Pizza knowing that they can expect their order in 40 minutes or less, so we have taken several measures to make sure that their meal arrives hot, fresh and on-time despite the busy day."
