CEC Entertainment LLC, parent company to Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza, has promoted Nathan Hunstable to VP, information technology and chief information officer, according to a press release.
Hunstable succeeds Jay Spears, who is stepping down after five years as VP and CIO.
Hunstable most recently served as CEC Entertainment's chief information and security officer and vice president of IT Infrastructure, where he oversaw cybersecurity, network operations and IT infrastructure. In that role, he strengthened the company's cybersecurity posture and supported innovation and technology initiatives across the organization.
"Nathan has done an excellent job elevating our cybersecurity efforts and contributing greatly to other innovation and technology projects," Scott Drake, CEO of CEC Entertainment, said in the release. "We're excited for the next chapter of innovation and technology leadership under Nathan's direction."
Hunstable brings more than two decades of IT leadership experience across the family entertainment and cinema exhibition industries. Prior to joining CEC Entertainment in 2024, he served as chief Technology officer at Cinergy Entertainment, leading the IT organization and spearheading guest-facing digital initiatives, including a mobile app, subscription and kiosk innovations.
