Checkers & Rally's, Toppers Pizza crack Top 50 Multi-Unit Franchises report

Checkers & Rally's Restaurants Inc. announced it was ranked as the No. 1 restaurant franchise by Franchise Business Review in its Top 50 Multi-Unit Franchises for 2015 special report.

Checkers & Rally's Restaurants Inc. announced it was ranked as the No. 1 restaurant franchise by Franchise Business Review in its Top 50 Multi-Unit Franchises for 2015 special report. The brand was ranked No. 3 overall in the Top 25 Brick & Mortar Opportunities category, the company said.

Franchise Business Review's Top 50 Multi-Unit Franchise report rates the "Best of the Best" and splits findings into two categories: Top 25 Brick & Mortar Opportunities and Top 25 Service Multi-Unit Franchises.

Franchise Business Review, a national franchise market research firm that performs independent surveys of franchisee satisfaction and franchise buyer experiences, surveyed more than 6,000 multi-unit operators with at least three units who represent more than 300 leading brands across North America. The market research firm asked questions in the areas of financial opportunity, training and support, leadership, operations and productive development, core values and general satisfaction, according to the announcement.

Checkers continues to grow, with opportunities for ownership available in Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, New York and Washington D.C., among other cities. The company entered 2015 with more than 80 restaurant sites approved for development in 2015, and in the first two months of the year, the brand approved 10 new franchisees.

Whitewater, Wisconsin-based Toppers Pizza also announced it was listed by Franchise Business Review as one of the Top 50 Multi-Unit Franchises for 2015. The brand landed in the report's Top 25 Brick & Mortar Opportunities category.

The brand kicked off the second quarter of 2015 with the signing of multi-unit entrepreneurs Shane Quail and Chad Hatch from Sioux Falls-based Nordic Venture Partners. The team will open six locations throughout South Dakota and Iowa over the next four years, the company said in a press release.
