CiCi's adds Food Network winning pizza to menu

As part of the show's "Improv" episode, CiCi's challenged Food Network Star contestants to create a pizza with an array of unlikely ingredients.

CiCi's Pizza challenge featured on Food Network Star to create a pizza with "bold, kicked-up flavors" has resulted in a special dessert pizza dubbed the Fiery Mango Tango now debuting at CiCi's nationwide.

As part of the show's "Improv" episode, CiCi's challenged Food Network Star contestants to create a pizza with an array of unlikely ingredients, the company said in an announcement.

"When Food Network asked if we'd be interested in doing this challenge, we knew it would be fun," said CiCi's CEO Darin Harris, who also appeared in the episode, in the announcement. "I'm very pleased to say the Fiery Mango Tango pizza hit the mark and excited to hear how our consumers react to this new explosion of flavor. It's a combination of a sweet, tropical blend of pineapple and mango with cream cheese icing and a jalapeno kick."

This LTO dessert pizza is available through Sunday, August 16.

CiCi's Pizza also rolled out its all-new Stuffed Crust Pizza on its endless pizza, pasta, salad, soup and dessert buffet. The LTO offering features melted mozzarella cheese stuffed inside garlic butter crust topped with pepperoni, available at CiCi's nationwide.
