Cicis does apps of the edible kind

Texas-based Cicis is delivering a little South-of-the-border spice to its customers in bite-sized appetizers, called Poppers, available for pick-up or delivery at locations nationwide, a news release said.

The items come in either spicy jalapeño or zesty pepperoni for $3.99 per dozen, which includes a choice of ranch or marinara sauce. Now through Aug. 8 customers can try Poppers for $1 when they purchase any large specialty pizza, by using the code 80044 at checkout.

"Our new Poppers are packed with flavor and make for the perfect addition to any Cicis meal," Cicis President and COO Jeff Hetsel, said in the release. "With 12 in each order, everyone will get a chance to try the new Poppers, and at the low price of just under $4, our guests can indulge and order both flavors!"

Cicis currently has more than 300 restaurants in more than 20 states.
