CiCi's promotes two execs

Appointments include a new COO and new VP of brand excellence.

Steven Jones has been elevated to chief operating officer after joining the team in May as vice president of operation services and training. A 25-year restaurant industry veteran, Jones has also served as a leader at Arby's, Popeye's and KFC. His focus at CiCi's has been to improve operational systems and processes.

"We brought Steven to the CiCi's team as part of our strategy to transform our business through improved systems, processes and procedures, and already we are seeing results," said CiCi's CEO Darin Harris in a company press release. "His leadership as COO will be key as we plan for future growth."

Longtime CiCi's team member Quinn Newhall steps into a new role as vice president of brand excellence, leading field operations and franchisee relations. Newhall, who served as an officer in the United States Air Force for seven years before receiving his MBA from Troy State, has served CiCi's in various operations capacities for more than 20 years as both a franchisee and a CiCi's support center employee.

"Quinn has long-standing relationships within our franchise system and his incredible coaching has helped franchisees and the field team to achieve brand excellence," said Harris. "We have been fortunate to have Steven and Quinn on our team, and congratulate them in earning their promotions."
