CiCi's to waive franchise fee for closed locations

November 10, 2008

COPPELL, Texas -- CiCi's Pizza is offering successful existing franchisees an incentive to take over closed locations by waiving the franchise fee it normally charges on sales of those locations, the company announced. The company plans to offer the waiver until at least the end of 2009.

"We recognize that many of our more successful franchisees may be deterred from expanding during the current economic climate," said CiCi's CEO Craig Moore. "We don't believe an inability to obtain a loan during a time when credit markets are tighter than they've been in recent memory should deter an otherwise successful franchisee from building his or her business by buying and re-opening closed CiCi's stores in great locations."
