Gasoline and diesel fuel The nationwide average for regular unleaded gasoline was $2.60 per gallon Dec.14, according to AAA and the Oil Price Information Service, off 3 cents from the previous week. Prices are down 2 percent from an average of $2.64 per gallon a month ago and up 36 percent from an average of $1.66 per gallon this time last year. Mid-range unleaded currently averages $2.77 per gallon while premium unleaded stands at $2.86 per gallon as of Dec. 14. The nationwide average price for diesel fuel stands at $2.80 per gallon Dec. 14, down 2 cents last week. Diesel prices are up 10 percent from an average of $2.55 per gallon this time last year. Natural gas Natural gas spot prices increased at all trading locations in the lower 48 states since Wednesday, Dec. 2, according to the Energy Information Administration. The Henry Hub price rose by 60 cents, or almost 13 percent, to $5.27 per million Btu (MMBtu) on the week. Pizza company stocks Shares in Pizza Hut parent Yum!
