Comps leap 6.9% in Q4 at California Pizza Kitchen

LOS ANGELES — California Pizza Kitchen said comparable-store sales rose 6.9 percent for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, 2006. In 2005, comps rose 5.3 percent in the same period.

According to a regulatory filing, revenue increased 16.4 percent to $146 million versus $125.4 million in the same period in 2005.

During the period, CPK added nine full service restaurants and two CPK/ASAP restaurants.
